With only 4 weeks to go until Apple’s annual WWDC conference, it seems like the Cupertino-based company can’t keep the lid on that constantly bubbling rumour pot. Today, strong rumours emerged concerning the new MacBook Pro, which is rumoured to be announced on June 11th along with a refresh of the iMac range, OS X Mountain Lion and iOS 6.

Apple has rejected yet another application, Cambox, a quick and easy way to post your photos straight to Dropbox, from the App Store owing to the fact that “if the user does not have Dropbox application [sic] installed then the linking authorisation is done through Safari”.

In another routine update, Apple has pushed out new versions of both OS X Lion and Safari, bringing them up to versions 10.7.4 and 5.1.7 respectively. However, those who were expecting some new nifty features are likely to be a tad disappointed, as it seems that these two updates are simply routine ones, aimed at patching up bugs and fixing security holes.

Adobe has announced the immediate availability of Creative Suite 6, the next reincarnation of its popular graphic and web design software. The company’s official store has been updated with all the new products and users can either purchase the software outright ready for download or upgrade from previous versions of Creative Suite.

This week, the official dates for Apple’s annual WWDC were announced and most people who have been following Apple rumour sites have a fair idea of what exactly is going to be announced. We here at Mac.AppStorm have a strong inkling that the entire MacBook Pro line is going to be refreshed (possibly with those new Ivy Bridge processors and a high-resolution retina display) as well as the iMac range as well.

But what really got me thinking was the idea of 4G MacBooks (4G meaning cell-network-compatible). Yes, it sounds like a bit of a shot in the dark (especially as we haven’t seen 3G-enabled MacBooks so far) but it does seem like a product that would catch on given the higher transfer speeds of 4G and its suitability to more intense web browsing such as video conferencing, HD video streaming and so on.

This week has been pretty full up with all sorts going on in the Apple world, in particular the official announcement of WWDC 2012 (where we are probably going to see the proper launch of OS X Mountain Lion, a new and updated iMac range and maybe even a sneak preview of iOS 6) and the fact the tickets sold in a mere 2 hours!
