Yesterday, CleanMyDrive, a nifty little free utility aimed at decluttering your Mac’s hard drives, hit the App Store and instantly sore straight to the top of the “Top Free” app category. To celebrate this their developers, Macpaw, are offering a generous 30% discount on three of their other popular apps, Gemini, Ensoul and MacHider, on the App Store. This discount is only valid if you purchase the items off the App Store (i.e. not from the developers website) and is valid up till June 27th.

Here’s a date for your diary, people.

This coming Thursday, Coda 2 will be available for download, which is a massive update featuring a completely overhauled interface, tonnes of new features (over 100 in total, according to the developers) and a few surprises thrown in for good measure as well. The update will be paid however any customers that have purchased Coda in the past month or so will receive it for free. The developers are also running a 50% off promotion for the first 24 hours of sale as well.

With only 4 weeks to go until Apple’s annual WWDC conference, it seems like the Cupertino-based company can’t keep the lid on that constantly bubbling rumour pot. Today, strong rumours emerged concerning the new MacBook Pro, which is rumoured to be announced on June 11th along with a refresh of the iMac range, OS X Mountain Lion and iOS 6.

Apple has rejected yet another application, Cambox, a quick and easy way to post your photos straight to Dropbox, from the App Store owing to the fact that “if the user does not have Dropbox application [sic] installed then the linking authorisation is done through Safari”.

In another routine update, Apple has pushed out new versions of both OS X Lion and Safari, bringing them up to versions 10.7.4 and 5.1.7 respectively. However, those who were expecting some new nifty features are likely to be a tad disappointed, as it seems that these two updates are simply routine ones, aimed at patching up bugs and fixing security holes.

Adobe has announced the immediate availability of Creative Suite 6, the next reincarnation of its popular graphic and web design software. The company’s official store has been updated with all the new products and users can either purchase the software outright ready for download or upgrade from previous versions of Creative Suite.
