This was a particularly big competition, and we received some fantastic comments packed with suggestions for the AppStorm websites. I’ll be reviewing these over the next few days to pick out a few new ideas for reviews, articles, and changes to the network.

We’re kicking off a bumper competition today, to win every single one of the applications created by The Little App Factory. We have three packages to give away, each worth over $60.
Here’s what you stand to win:
- iRip – Easily transfer your songs and media from an iPod/iPhone back to your computer.
- Ripit – The fastest and simplest solution for archiving your DVD movies to your Mac.
- Evom – This is a free app but certainly worth mentioning, letting you convert and transfer your favourite movies onto your iPod, iPhone or Apple TV.

I’m pleased to announce that we have five full licenses of Cocktail to give away this week. Cocktail is a great way to gain easy access to some fairly complex system settings, and there’s plenty of information about the application in our in-depth review posted last week.
Entering is very simple. All you need to do is follow our new site on Twitter (iPhone.AppStorm), and post your Twitter username in the comments. The competition will run until Monday 8th February, and we’ll be selecting the five winners at random.

If you’re a designer, working with colour is a daily task. Sometimes it can be a real pleasure, but on other occasions a piece of software to help would be much appreciated! Last week we reviewed ColorSchemer Studio 2, a great app for coming up with effective and professional color combinations.

Slammer is an interesting application for designers that we reviewed a few weeks ago. It’s an advanced layout tool that allows web and interface designers alike to create and tweak their layouts to align with a grid system, golden sections, harmonious sections and the fibonacci series.
