I never understood why Apple came with that sorry excuse in the first place. A wrong algorithm for the bars isn’t going to fix the issue of holding the phone “wrong”, in fact, it only makes it worse now that the bars are more accurate. A decrease in signal will always remain the same, even if the algorithm is different.
