I use GarageBand each week for our church podcast that we started a few weeks ago. Did all the background music (music loops from GarageBand’s loop library), record the dated introduction (new each week) and the rest of the intro and conclusion audio (recorded once and part of my ‘master’ file). I use Podcastmaker to handle the RSS, details, and FTP to the site. It takes me less than a half hour to import the sermon audio, put it together with the extra audio, and get everything done and up to iTunes.

Is it possible to voice over the top of a track you have in itunes? maybe one you have bought, and you just want to talkover it a little?
