Big fan of CoverSutra, I use it all the time. Impeccably designed by Sophia Teutschler too, and über useful! Nice to see it featured here on Mac.AppStorm. @Josh I hear what you’re saying regarding iTunes being a system hog, but for those of us who really like iTunes and use it frequently, I think CoverSutra complements iTunes extremely well.

The problem I have with this type of software is that you still have to have iTunes running in order to use it. iTunes is a system hog in itself — then add another program on top just to control it? If you want an iTunes controller that doesn’t require iTunes to be running, try Ecoute (http://www.ecouteapp.com/). Save those system resources!

Love CoverSutra. Been using it since forever; will use it forever. Can’t wait for 3.0 release!

The one problem I have with CoverSutra is that it doesn’t allow you to “Play Next in iTunes DJ”.
This means if you’re listening to one song you’re only choice is to add a song you want to hear to the end of your iTunes DJ playlist or play it straight away and jump out of your playlist.

This seems like a simple thing to do as iTunes and scripts for quicksilver allow you to do this.
I’ve written to the developer and it seems that she wants to keep this feature for the next paid for upgrade.

The application also crashes a lot.

After saying all that, I use it constantly and really like the way I can set up keyboard shortcuts for iTunes to do all the things I need.

For the previous reader I have keyboard shortcuts set up to instantly rate a song through Cover Sutra. Alt+F1 to F5 and then Alt+F10 to reset to zero. This works really well and you quickly get it into your memory muscle.

Looks like the default graphite to me. In the Appearance section of System Preferences, try changing Blue to Graphite.

That Album Cover Packs is for CD Art Display not Coversutra… It’s a shame because I really wanted one where I could rate it without the additional steps of pressing the icon then pressing show additional controls, then rating it.
