Mac Apps

I wouldn’t describe the interface of Measures as sexy or beautiful.
Measures, Guitar Toolkit and Wimbledon should not be in this roundup!
But I agree with most of the other apps.
who gives a shit what you think ?
It seems like you have a problem wiht my opinion?!
And about yours, you piece of shite?
your momma.
What other converting apps have you found that you liked better? There are WAY too many to choose from! I like that Measures has a clothing size comparison which is cool, but I’ve heard it doesn’t calculate ingredient measures (for cooking)? Any suggestions?
Wow, so many apps, and their so sexy. I love the weight bot one, the convert bot is so sexy to, but i don’t think the facebook app is that sexy, could of been replaced by something….
Great article … makes me want an iPhone even more … only two months to wait!
Cool list of apps, huh? Thanks, they really like sexy! ;)
Brilliant collection of apps, I didn’t now about Ego, looks really nice. I’m working on an App at the moment so this post will sure help to get that sexy UI working.
Great article, I was thinking of writing a similar one for MacStories!
Twitterric, Convertbot and Ego are the sexiest, imho.
If I may, I think it qualifies for the sexy interface app: http://codeaplus.com/runmate/
There’s example screenshot on that page, with quite a few screenshots on the separate page. This one is best example why I think it’s sexy: http://codeaplus.com/runmate/screenshots/run2.png
Tea Round is awesome. Love it when a good idea has a good interface.
These guys make some sexeh app designs.
http://saltlicklabs.com/little-black-book/
http://saltlicklabs.com/pocket-massage/
and this one is minimal but slick.
http://www.outpostapp.com/
Oh Yeah! Great One . I Tweeted :)
What makes you think the table views of Cha-Ching, Things, Satisfaction Remote and Outpost are more sexy than the beautiful board of Deep Green? Even Deep Green’s backside is more elegant ;-) (Biased)
See screenshots at http://cocoastuff.com/products/deepgreen/
Please take a look my “Diary” app (App Store Link: http://itunes.com/apps/diary). I do believe this may qualify too.
Check this OldClocks: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=291308407&mt=8
I think they even more sexier then for example Cha-Ching or Tweetie :)
I wanted to put a post on here to say that these applications are exactly the type of thing that drew me to iPhone development myself. I try to make my interfaces as sexy as possible!
Some of you might like the look of my Discounted app (http://alantaylor.homeip.net/apps/).
Some really really nice apps there, though I think the Wimbledon one is too messy to be sexy. Awesome roundup.
Thought I’d share one that wasn’t listed that I feel is a “sexy interface” iPhone app that is intuitive, cute, handy, and pushes the iPhone design conventions and that is targeted to women.
Video demo located: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_SOksR3GNo
You forgot MLB.com At Bat 2009, otherwise, great job!
Some good ones on here i think! Jukebox Music Quiz should be on there though http://www.jukeboxmusicquiz.com Really beautiful UI.
I think that in this page mappper (travel caegory) could be insert!…Weightbot is my favorite!
This is why this page is on my Top Sites :D
I think that “Meat Clock” for iPhone is one sexy beast. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been discovered by the enlightened masses yet…
Check out Fairway Golf
http://www.wideasleep.com/products/fairway/
It has a clean simple UI.
Oh, here’s a link to Meat Clock: http:www.itunes.com/apps/meatclock and some other interesting apps at http://www.mindshocker.com
;)
You are forgetting SmartShop
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=297844291&mt=8
argghhhh!
I’m a terrible URL typer. I meant:
Meat Clock: http://www.itunes.com/apps/meatclock
I think Movies Now! (http://kodu.co.uk/) and Birdfeed (http://birdfeedapp.com/) are definitely missing – they are both absolutely gorgeous and Birdfeed has gotten me to switch from Tweetie!
I love the look of Flip Clock.
One of my new favourite apps (also really cheep!) is Postman (http://postmanapp.com/). Delicious UI and an app that really helps you create great looking e-postcards.
Really nice roundup! Found a few great looking apps that I’d never heard of before.
Some really nice examples, another one that’s pretty hot looking ProCreative Gold 09 – http://www.procreativeinc.com/golf_features.aspx
You missed pennies! Really nice looking app with a nice icon too =)
Don’t even mention that DEAD app. I lament that lost penny till date!
nice roundup ^^ but you should have added Tweetdeck for iPhone too, the newest version has a very sexy interface !
One of the best that I have seen is this advanced media player, it’s really cool…
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=322243818&mt=8
It’s a bit crazy that you left off Eucalyptus and instead included Classics. Perhaps it’s because Eucalyptus is the more expensive e-book reader. In any case, Eucalyptus is certainly better-looking, with a more polished and more intuitive page-turning experience.
Great article but you’ve missed out a couple of my favourites. For my money NightTime Plus beats Nightstand…
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=311191660&mt=8
and one I just bought today is gorgeous – Playlist Alarm Clock – http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=321997295&mt=8
Héhé… http://www.minurl.fr/fpa
Haha… http://www.minurl.fr/fqc
The Dictionary.com app is simple, free, and doesn’t need Wi-Fi for all of you iPod touch users. It includes Dictionary.com’s entire word repertoire with dated etymologies plus a pretty good thesaurus (that’s right, the word dinosaur), a history of the words you’ve searched for easy reference and a randomly selected word of the day. All-in-all I end up using this one every day.
nice list of apps. Most of those look really good. Not so much the facebook one though, probably could have left it out or found another one
Twitterriffic’s interface is beautiful… all except for the tweets. Not one of their themes (except the boring “Basic”) is high contrast or provides a nice definition between tweets. Overall the text blends into the background and the tweets blend together. For an interface that had so much attention paid to it elsewhere I’m surprised the main focus looks so… underaverage.
Great Post. I’m looking for some travel apps for my friend she is going to do the route 66 thing. LA to Chicago. I also found here this one. It’s a whole list of travel apps the videos are very campy, funny and yet informative. They even have a cheet sheet pdf that I emailed to her. http://super-fly-life.com/dating/iphone-travel-tips/
Thanks again for a great post
BlasieB
Sexy??? não tem personalidade nenhuma..
Nice list … another app I love is Seasons (http://www.seasonsapp.com/) to find out what produce is currently in season.
Things is a bit more expensive (given the App Store standards!). I use EasyTasks (free) and is pretty much meeting the purpose.
You forgot Vegas Radio.
An Old like radio with style
http://www.vegasradioapp.com
There’s a new app on the store – Goddess Tarot. You have to see the graphics to believe it. They are beautiful!
I think that WideNoise also has a nice graphic, it’s fallout-steampunk inspired. :)
Disclaimer: I’m the author. Any feedback is welcome! :P
The nicers the interface for any app the more I want to use it. These are all great.
Cool list, really like sexy apps :)
nice list :)
but you missed http://www.popperapp.com
Also BEATMAKER has some fantastic userface elements.
These are beautiful – great list. I like how Apple offers a great SDK which requires only a little modding and time in Photoshop to create this kind of stunning execution.
Color Stream should have been on here. I guess it wasn’t out at the time though: http://colorstreamapp.com/
Wow, so many new apps! They all look good to me!
Many amazing apps, but you still missed iSmoothie:
http://www.linktoapp.com/iSmoothie
What about this one? – http://www.budgetcare.com
Clean, simple, elegant and looking like a native iPhone app style
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=306171961&mt=8
very nice interfaces
