There surely isn’t any shortage of apps for viewing and interacting with your Instagram feed right from your Mac. We’ve even presented a comparison of a few of them to you not so long ago.
Today we’re going to present you yet another newcomer to the Instagram Mac client market that is a bit different from the rest, in that it lives in your menu bar and is considerably simpler (and cheaper) than the rest. It’s called Instabar, so would you like to take a look at it?
An introduction to Instagram might be more than unnecessary, but for the few lost ones that have never heard of the service, Instagram is a mobile service that allows you to upload and share pictures right from your phone, with its characteristic vintage filters that make even the dullest photo look interesting.
However, Instagram has yet to come up with its own web service to view pictures from your computer, and right now the only way to browse through your Instagram feed (as well as upload pictures) is through your iOS or Android devices. That’s why today we’re going to bring you 5 third-party Mac apps that allow you to browse and interact with your Instagram feed right from your desktop.

Instagram has become a very popular service and app on the iPhone, by allowing you to create and share vintage-looking pictures with your social networks and check the recent pictures from your friends. Unfortunately, though, there isn’t really a way of interacting with the service on your computer. Instagram’s developers know this and have made their API available to anyone who wants to create an app for their service.
The app that we are reviewing today is a beautifully designed companion for using Instagram on your Mac. It’s called Carousel and it looks very promising. Does it deliver?
