I’d like to take a moment to say a big thank you to this week’s sponsor, Jumsoft. In particular, their latest release of Keynote Themes. This is a fantastic selection of fifteen beautifully hand crafted themes for Apple’s Keynote, designed to make your presentations stand out from the crowd.
The whole pack includes 15 themes: from the clear and crisp “Subtle Mind”, to the cold, stylish “Glossy Metal” and the richly-textured “Nostalgia”. Each theme includes 50 master slides – a mix of bullet, text, and photo-oriented layouts – plenty of versatility for any presentation.
If you’d like to find out more, be sure to visit the official Keynote Themes site, and take a look at what’s on offer. The full collection of 15 themes is available to buy now for $79. Definitely worth considering if you’re a regular Keynote user!
I’d like to take a moment to say a big thank you to this week’s sponsor, Jumsoft. In particular, their latest release of Pages Templates 6.0. These are a great way to spruce up your collection of pre-built Pages designs, and some of the new graphical layouts are really gorgeous.
Jumsoft has created a handy mini-site where you can quickly view all the included templates, which gives you a good feel for what to expect.
Pages Templates 6.0 includes 100 different templates, each containing up to 12 sections designed for the type of document. Use single-page templates such as invoice, letter, and poster for basic documents, or choose one of the several multi-layout templates for brochures, newsletters, and other publications.
Most layouts include placeholders for your photos or pictures – simply drag and drop the selected image – and you’ll be able to benefit from all the other fantastic page layout features built into Pages itself. Although the stock designs included in Pages Templates 6.0 look great, they are also very easy to customise. You can choose your own font, change graphics, and easily combine multiple designs into a single document.
If you’d like to find out more, be sure to visit the official Pages Templates 6.0 site, and take a look at what’s on offer. The full collection of 100 templates is available to buy now for $39. Definitely worth considering if you’re a regular Pages user!
Apple’s presentation application, Keynote, raises the bar in terms of usability and design for anyone giving a talk or presentation. It comes bundled with remarkably well designed themes, and stunning animations to move between slides.
Today we’ll be delving a little deeper into Keynote, offering various tips for getting the most out of the application. We’ll take a look at a few companion apps, investigate how to create your own theme, highlight a few great websites for gaining presentation inspiration, and showcase a handful of really gorgeous Keynote themes that you can download and use.
I’ve long been a fan of iWork and Pages, and enjoy the design aesthetics of the templates included with the app. I recently went on the hunt for some third party templates that could make the Pages experience even better.
Some are free, others are commercial, but hopefully they will help to make Pages more versatile and powerful than ever before!
